How to Be Resilient to Abortion Stigma

Just because we don’t like that abortion is stigmatized doesn’t mean we aren’t impacted by stigma. In this article, we share five ways that advocates can be resilient to abortion stigma. Here’s one way:

Remembering our purpose. We believe that everyone deserves dignity in their sexual and reproductive lives. So much so, we have co-founded an organization that seeks to shift cultural norms through storytelling, capacity-building, and research. In moments where we’re called on to speak about our jobs (and our beliefs), reconnecting with this purpose helps to strengthen us.
